About Us
The start of this story is seemingly not traditional by any sense. However, when you are in your late 30's and have kids well then this is how most start these days. But with that said, ours is beautiful. And yes! It started on Bumble the dating app!!
After weeks of speaking on the phone and doing the normal getting to know each other bit. We decided it was time to meet. Oh! The nerves!! Our first date was a simple dinner and drinks at Trago Bar & Tapas. In my view, what better way to get to know each other than sharing small plates of food. lol!
Of course we decided to see where the night would take us. We had just shared several small Tapas, many drinks (though seemed like water at the time. lol!) and amazing conversation's getting to know each other. So we continued our night at Conrads. Let me tell you!! This is where it got interesting. lol!
Many drinks later the night was coming to an end. It was late, it was a bit chilly and this time the drinks were great! But!! One thing made this part of the date even better. She made the move and kissed me first!!! Shocking, I know!! This definitely caught me off guard. Yes! Thats right she made the move! lol!
The next day was ahead of us. Do I call? Does she call? Do we text? Heck I don't think we knew. lol! But one of us did something. So we decided to meet for coffee the next morning (even with a hangover) I agreed. We met at her local Starbucks, yes I drove to the other side of town to see her. We didn't have a lot of time that morning but we made the best of it.
During this time I was working overnights and sleep was very VITAL to my existence. Though the next several weeks we got to get to know each other more and more and my body got to know what less and less sleep was. lol! Making sacrifices to just see her was a bit shocking to me, but she was amazing. She was captivating, she was more than I could have asked for at that time.
What followed was something that was inspiring, something that was amazing, something that we both wanted. We both worked tirelessly, we both had kids, we both had semi hectic schedules. But most of all we both were determined to see where our journey was going to go. So we made it official!!! January 5, 2022 was to be our date where our new story would start together.
